Hubert Sumlin: A Guitarist and a Gentleman

I’m sad to report the passing of a fine bluesman, a truly original & groundbreaking guitarist and a real gentleman, Mr. Hubert Sumlin. He gave a wonderful interview for my book The Language of the Blues – sharing remarkable stories about his relationship with Howlin Wolf, why Wolf wrote “Killing Floor,” and more.

Here’s a great new photo of Hubert Sumlin with one of my favorite guitarists, Elliott Sharp, that will appear in the new eBook version of The Language of the Blues, coming this month from Guitar International.
