[/caption]Downtown Jersey City is the most communal place I've lived since I left NYC's East Village years ago. And two of the most supportive, loveliest people in town are the mother-and-daughter owners of Tachair Bookshoppe
, Carol and Aleta Valleau.
I recently did a concert/reading there for The Language of the Blues
and the vibe was so warm and welcoming. So were the free coffee and delicious chocolate cookies. Thanks to everyone who came and asked fascinating questions, too!
Please continue to support this independent, family-owned Jersey City gem. Read all about Aleta and Carol in the JCI article Tachair Books Hoping for More Live Performances.
