Deb Talks (A Lot) with Guitar International
I went on a date a few years ago with a very cute guitarist for a cool Brooklyn band…French restaurant, candlelight, delicious wine…and all we talked about was how to wire volume knobs and install jumbo frets. We were doomed as a couple but united as guitar geeks forevah!
Here’s my interview with Guitar International, the ultimate website for guitar geeks and the people who put up with them. Our six-minute jam cover of Neil Young’s “The Needle and the Damage Done” is the splash track over at GI this month, check it out!
It’s Hornlike.
Somebody ran the Devi JamBase review through a cracked online translator for ICT Magazine: A Global News Portal.
“It’s hornlike to conceive of added adornment quite same sway noesis triad Devi, who combining the intelligence and intricacy of a beatific wad adornment with the catchiness of oldness noesis pop,the cognisance and connexion of stripling and the irregular smirking metal flourish. Beefed up with percussionist Pat Catino nonnegative keyboard wizard Rob Clores, Devi excited and seduced the conference with playfully executed improvisations that threatened to verify their melodic rockers into uncharted territory. When they eventually did, the results were rattling satisfying.”
You know you want to read the rest! We’re going to make this the band’s new bio.
JamBase Reviews Devi’s Live Show
We got a great review today on JamBase of our recent gig at Sullivan Hall in NYC. Woo! That was an extra special show because both Rob Clores (keys) and Pat Catino (percussion) were able to join us. For the first time I was onstage thinking “wow, this really sounds like the album!” Which was pretty groovy.
