Devi – All That I Need Music Video
Our first music video! Shot at my downtown Jersey City apartment and Keith's bar, Boca Grande, in one long-ass day. I blame the dress. Featuring: Debra Devi (guitar/vocals), John Hummel (drums), Keith Mannino (bass), Rob Clores (keys). Dir. Jill Morley, DP Evan Seplow, Asst Dir. Jason Jaworski
Crusher Magazine Interviews Debra Devi
Let’s hear it for those tireless rock fanatics who pour their hearts and souls into letting the world know about new music…and manage to be politically conscious in the process. Christine Natanael, ediatrix-in-chief of Crusher magazine is one of ‘em. Christine and I met awhile back when she took me to see Ministry at Irving Plaza last fall. Our NYC homeboy Tommy Victor from Prong was shredding it on guitar. I danced my face off.
For my interview with Crusher, Christine chose Crusher’s London writer Alissa Ordabai, because Alissa’s also a guitar player and gets all that guitar geek stuff. We got deep into it about female guitarists, the metaphysics of the blues, Camille Paglia and, oh yeah, Devi’s Get Free album.
Jo Boobs Takes It Off – to Devi
Get out your sparkly pasties! Jo Boobs strips to Devi songs Take It Off and All That I Need in her hot new DVD Striptease for Burlesque, Exotic Dance and Every Day. Here’s a peek!

Jo Boobs, Lily Burana & Debra Devi
Jo is the headmistress of the New York School of Burlesque and one of my best gal pals. Supportive girlfriends are so important to us hardworking creative types! Jo, me and Lily Burana form a little support group we call The P Posse (you’ll have to guess what the “P” stands for!). We get together for dinner and root each other on in our various creative pursuits. It’s been so exciting to see them materialize! Lily’s books (Strip City, TRY, I Love a Man in Uniform), my band Devi and our Get Free album, Jo’s school and now her DVDs and her fabulous book The Burlesque Handbook. Woo, go PP!
